Unique Turkey Burgers

- 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
- 2/3 cup plain breadcrumbs (panko also works)
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 green onion, chopped fine
- 1 garlic clove, minced fine
- 1/2 cup zucchini, shredded fine
- 1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- glaze
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 garlic clove, minced fine
- burger toppings
- 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
- 1 cup alfalfa sprout
- 3 tablespoons sunflower seeds (without the shells)
- 6 whole whole wheat hamburger buns
- Mix all of the burger ingredients together and form 6 patties; set aside.
- Mix all of the glaze ingredients together.
- Place burgers on hot grill.
- Cook for 5 minutes on each side, brushing with the glaze every few minutes.
- Remove burgers from the grill.
- Smear a bit of cranberry sauce on each of the 6 buns.
- Top bun with a burger.
- Top burger with alfalfa sprouts.
- Top sprouts with a sprinkling of sunflower seeds.
- Put top bun on bottom bun and eat.
