Overnight Cinnamon Rolls
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 6 c. flour
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. cinnamon-sugar
- Start this recipe in the late afternoon.
- Bring sugar and 2 cups water to a boil in saucepan.
- Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in shortening.
- Let stand to cool.
- Soften yeast in warm water. Combine yeast, salt and eggs with cooked mixture in mixer bowl. Add 4 cups flour, beating well.
- Add 2 cups flour; beat by hand. Let rise, covered, until doubled in bulk.
- Roll on floured surface. Spread with margarine.
- Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
- Roll up; cut into 1 1/2-inch rolls.
- Place in buttered 10 x 13-inch pan.
- Let rise, uncovered, in cold oven overnight.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 20 minutes.
