Tops' Cornbread Dressing
- 3/4 lb. lean ground pork
- 3/4 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 5 ribs celery, chopped
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans chicken broth
- 2 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
- salt, pepper and red pepper to taste
- chopped green onions and fresh parsley
- 4 c. crumbled cornbread
- paprika
- Brown pork in skillet, approximately 10 minutes.
- Mix ground meat with pork and cook an additional 10 minutes.
- Add onions and celery to meat mixture and saute 15 minutes.
- Add soup and broth to meat mixture and heat thoroughly.
- Check seasonings.
- This can be spicy because you will add the cornbread to it.
- Remove from heat and add the crumbled cornbread.
- Add chopped green onions and chopped fresh parsley.
