Brown And Serve Rolls(Makes 24 To 32 Rolls)

  1. Scald milk.
  2. Stir in margarine, sugar and salt.
  3. Cool to lukewarm.
  4. In a small bowl mix yeast and water.
  5. Let set for 5 minutes.
  6. Stir into milk when it has cooled, then add half the flour.
  7. Beat until smooth, then work in remaining flour.
  8. Turn onto floured board and knead about 10 minutes.
  9. Place in greased bowl.
  10. Turn over, cover and let rise until doubled, about an hour. Punch down.
  11. Form into any shape of rolls you wish (Parker-House, Cloverleaf, small dinners rolls).
  12. Arrange on greased cookie sheets or in a pan.
  13. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 minutes.
  14. Bake at 300u0b0 for 25 minutes until partly baked, but not browned.
  15. Cool.
