Excellent Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease cookie sheets.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla and sour cream.
  4. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
  5. Gradually stir into the creamed mix.
  6. Finally, stir in the rolled oats, and your choice of additions.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  8. Then let cool for 5 minutes.
