Excellent Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
- 1 c. shortening
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. rolled oats
- 1 c. raisins
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. sour cream
- 3 c. all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease cookie sheets.
- In a large bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well with each addition, then stir in the vanilla and sour cream.
- Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
- Gradually stir into the creamed mix.
- Finally, stir in the rolled oats, and your choice of additions.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
- Then let cool for 5 minutes.
