Oven French Toast
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 24 slices sandwich bread
- 6 large eggs
- 2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- Put butter, sugar and corn syrup in saucepan and bring to boil, stirring until syrupy.
- Spray cookie sheet with Pam.
- Pour syrupy mixture on cookie sheet and cover bottom.
- Layer bread 2 high across pan.
- Combine rest of ingredients and mix well.
- Pour over bread, making sure all bread is covered.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
- Check after 30 minutes.
- When removing from pan, flip bread from bottom to top. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Serves 12 to 14 people.
