Lasagna
- 3 medium onions, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. sausage meat
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 2 lb. Ricotta cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 pkg. lasagna noodles, cooked
- 3 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- Saute
- onion and garlic in oil until
- tender.
- Add
- beef and sausage.
- Stir in sauce and paste, water,
- salt, pepper and oregano.
- Cover and simmer for half an hour, stirring occasionally.
- Mix Ricotta cheese and eggs in a bowl.
- Cover bottom of lasagna pan with cooked noodles.top
- with
- 1/3 of meat sauce, 1/2 of Ricotta mixture and
- 1/2
- oftozzarella slices. Repeat layers and spoon remaining meat
- sauce
- on
- top.
- Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in
- 350u0b0
- oven
- for
- 30 minutes. Cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
