Mom'S Chili
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 large can stewed tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz.) can red beans
- 1 (15 oz.) can chili beans
- 1 (27 oz.) can kidney beans
- 1 qt. water
- 5 beef bouillon cubes
- 1/2 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- In large kettle or saucepan, brown ground beef.
- Drain and add onion; cook until tender.
- Add rest of ingredients.
- Bring to a boil and then simmer for 1 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Before serving, thicken with 3 tablespoons flour mixed with 1/4 cup water.
- Stir until thickened.
- Serve with cornbread.
- Kids love it!
