Beef, Beans And Noodle Skillet
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1/2 medium green pepper, chopped
- 1 c. diced celery
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. basil leaves, crumbled
- 2 c. uncooked medium noodles
- 1 can stewed tomatoes (8 1/2 oz.)
- 1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans (undrained)
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. water
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- In 10-inch skillet, saute beef until it loses its color.
- Add onion, green pepper and celery.
- Saute 5 minutes longer.
- Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce and basil.
- Stir in noodles, tomatoes, beans and water.
- Add bouillon cube.
- Bring to boil; reduce heat; cover and simmer approximately 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until liquid is absorbed.
- Makes four servings.
