Swedish Fruit Soup

  1. Soak dried apricots, prunes and raisins in cold water for 30 minutes. Add cinnamon stick, lemon slices, tapioca and sugar. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in orange, apple and pear cubes. Simmer until apple pieces are tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in the booze.
  2. Pour into large serving bowl and cool to room temperature. Remove cinnamon stick. Cover and chill until serving.
  3. Makes about 6 servings.
  4. Choice of fruits can depend on preference and availability.
