Chicken Salad Veronique
- 3 c. cooked chicken, cubed
- 1 c. seedless green grapes, halved
- 1/2 c. toasted slivered almonds
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 3 Tbsp. chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp. celery salt
- 1/3 c. cholesterol-free mayonnaise
- 1/3 c. lemon yogurt
- 1 Tbsp. dry white wine
- 1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 7 eggs, separated
- salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
- 1/4 c. fine bread crumbs
- On special occasions, this cake might be followed by a sweet dessert wine like a Tokay Aszii.
- This cake may also be made with hazelnuts; simply substitute ground hazelnuts for walnuts.
- Then, it is called "Magyoro Torta" in Hungary.
