Chocolate Cherry Fruitcake(With Chocolate Glaze)

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease and flour one 10-inch fluted tube pan.
  3. Stir together the flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Add the chopped red cherries and mix well with your hands, separating the bits of cherries.
  5. Set aside.
  6. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  7. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  8. Add vanilla and blend.
  9. Stir in melted chocolate.
  10. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately, in 3 parts each, blending well.
  11. Stir in chocolate chips.
  12. Pour into prepared tube pan. Bake 60 to 70 minutes.
  13. Cool 10 minutes; then turn out onto rack.
