Black Magic Cake

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round pans or a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, blend sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  4. Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium 2 minutes (batter will be thin).
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  6. Bake 30 to 35 minutes for round pans; bake 35 to 40 minutes for rectangular pan.
  7. When toothpick comes out clean, cake is done.
  8. Cool 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from pans to wire rack; cool completely.
  10. Frost as desired.
