Cherry-Chocolate Cups

  1. Cream together sugar and butter.
  2. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt.
  3. Stir into creamed mixture; mix well.
  4. Divide dough in half.
  5. To one half add nuts and chocolate.
  6. Press a rounded teaspoonful of chocolate mixture into the bottom and up sides of ungreased 1 3/4-inch muffin cups.
  7. Place a cherry half in the center of each cup.
  8. Top with a rounded teaspoonful of the remaining white dough and another cherry half. Bake at 375u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
  9. Makes 32.
