Glazed Strawberry Tart

  1. Stir together flour, almonds, sugar, lemon rind and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Cut butter into flour mixture with a pastry blender or 2 knifes, until coarse crumbs form.
  3. Whisk together egg and vanilla in a small bowl; stir into flour mixture until a dough forms.
  4. Shape into a disk.
  5. Wrap in plastic; refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
