Bill'S Northern Chunky Chicken And Dumplings
- 2 (12 oz.) cans clear chicken broth
- 2 1/2 (12 oz.) cans water
- 1 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 1/2 c. chopped carrots
- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 (16 oz.) can white potatoes
- 1 box Bisquick
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- Remove skin from chicken.
- Pour chicken broth and water in large pot with lid.
- Boil chicken until done (25 minutes approximately).
- Remove chicken from water.
- Add to boiling water, celery, pepper, salt, onion, carrots and peppers.
- Simmer 20 to 25 minutes.
- Pull chicken meat from bones in pieces and put back in pot.
- Add 1/2 can water, white potatoes and mushrooms.
- Boil 5 minutes.
- Add dumplings.
