Mildre'S Casserole(Microwave)
- 3 c. uncooked egg noodles
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. water
- 1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (5 3/4 oz.) can mushroom steak sauce (with mushrooms)
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. basil leaves, crushed
- 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves, crushed
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 1/4 c. sour cream
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- Cook noodles according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- Crumble beef and add onion in glass bowl.
- Microwave on High 6 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Drain.
- Stir in water, corn, tomato paste and seasonings.
- Combine 1/2 of meat mixture and noodles in 2 1/2-quart dish.
- Mix cottage cheese, cream cheese and sour cream.
- Spread over meat-noodle mixture.
- Top with remaining meat mixture.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Microwave on High 12 to 16 minutes.
- Rotate dish once halfway through cooking time.
