Cordon Bleu Style Chicken Strips
- 1 1/2 lbs chicken tenders
- 6 slices deli ham, smoked, cut in half lengthwise
- 0.5 (13 2/3 ounce) package baby swiss Cheez-It crackers, crushed into coarse crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- pepper
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0F.
- Spray a large rimmed baking sheet with no-stick spray, or line with no-stick foil.
- Place egg & water in a shallow dish, blend with fork until well mixed.
- Place cracker crumbs in another shallow dish and stir in pepper.
- Wrap each chicken strip with a half piece of ham, secure with toothpick if needed.
- 6. Roll in cracker crumbs, then in egg mixture, then again in cracker crumbs.
- Place on cookie sheet.
- Bake 15-25 minutes, turning halfway through. Chicken should register 165u0b0 on instant read thermometer.
