Ann'S Authentic Spaghetti Sauce
- 3 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can readi-cut tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 onion, cut in eighths
- 8 cloves garlic or more, if you like (whole or cut)
- 1 boneless pork roast, cut in chunks
- 1 boneless beef roast, cut in chunks
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1 c. bread crumbs
- olive oil
- 1/4 c. sugar (approximately)
- 1 handful salt (approximately)
- Pour olive oil in a large pan or Dutch oven to cover bottom. Add garlic and onion.
- When lightly browned and limp, add tomato paste, sauce and tomatoes.
- Fill each can with water and add to pot.
- Add sugar and salt.
- Let simmer on very low heat.
- Stir frequently.
- Brown beef and pork in olive oil; sprinkle with salt. Add to sauce while simmering.
