One Dish Village Chicken

  1. Cook the rice as directed on package, but stop cooking 3 minutes earlier than instructed so rice mixture will not become dry.
  2. Spread the rice on the bottom of a lightly oiled 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  3. Place the chicken breasts on top of the rice.
  4. Cover chicken with cheese, then sprinkle with bread crumbs.
  5. Bake in a 325u0b0 oven for 25 minutes or until chicken is done and bread crumbs are slightly brown and crisp.
  6. If desired, melted butter may be added part-way through the baking process to add crispness to the bread crumbs.
  7. Serves 4 to 6.
