Gulf Grill
- 1 1/2 lb. shrimp
- 1/2 c. lime juice
- 3 garlic cloves
- 2 jalapenos, seeded and halved
- 3/4 c. cilantro leaves
- 1/4 c. beer (your favorite)
- 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
- a ripe avocado
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 Tbsp. cilantro, chopped
- Peel and devein shrimp.
- Marinate in the lime juice for 1/2 hour.
- In your blender, process the garlic cloves, the jalapenos and 3/4 cup cilantro leaves; add the beer.
- When everything is well chopped, stir in the melted butter.
- Mash the avocado.
- Stir the mashed avocado with sour cream and 1 tablespoon of cilantro.
- Mix until the ingredients are smooth.
- Thread your shrimp on skewers. Brush with the beer mixture.
- Grill.
- Turn once.
- Brush with more of the beer batter and cook until done.
- Dip in avocado sauce hot.
