Bran Muffins

  1. Preheat oven to 400u0b0.
  2. Grease 12 (2 1/2-inch) muffin pan cups. In a shallow baking pan, toast bran flakes in oven for 5 minutes; cool.
  3. In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; stir in bran flakes.
  4. In mixer bowl, beat egg at low speed.
  5. Beat in brown sugar, then molasses.
  6. Beat in milk and salad oil.
  7. Add all dry ingredients at once; stir until moistened. Spoon into prepared cups, filling each until about three-quarters full.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  9. Immediately remove from pan; place on wire rack.
  10. Serve warm.
