Cornbread Dressing
- 2 c. corn meal
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 1 Tbsp. Cavender's seasonings
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 onion, chopped fine
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 1 skillet Cornbread
- 1 stick butter
- 2 c. celery, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- chicken broth
- 1 can biscuits
- 1 to 2 onions
- 1/2 c. milk
- slivered almonds or water chestnuts
- Cook turkey or chicken until done.
- Bake Cornbread and biscuits day before.
- Crumble both.taute onion and celery in butter.
- Add all remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Place in baking dish; top with almonds or water chestnuts and bake.
