Hamburger Kidney Bean Casserole
- 1 1/2 lb. lean hamburger
- 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 3 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 tsp. salt
- pepper
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, chopped
- Press raw hamburger in
- the
- bottom of a 3 quart casserole; sprinkle with salt
- and pepper.
- Layer the can of kidney beans with juice next
- and
- sprinkle
- with
- chili powder.
- Add chopped onion in a
- layer.
- Layer the top with sliced potatoes with salt, pepper and
- sugar
- over
- the
- top.
- Pour
- undrained chopped tomatoes over the
- top.
- Bake,
- covered,
- in 400u0b0 oven for 1 hour. Remove lid
- and bake another 20 minutes to remove excess liquid.
