Persimmon Cookies
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 egg
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c. raisins (optional)
- 1 c. pureed persimmon pulp
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 c. raisins (optional)
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
- Cream sugar and margarine together; beat in egg.
- Sift flour, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves together.
- Stir in nuts and raisins. Puree persimmon pulp until smooth and stir in baking soda.
- Add persimmon mixture and dry ingredients alternately to creamed margarine and sugar mixture, mixing well after each addition. Drop by heaping teaspoonful on greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 15 minutes.
- Makes about 2 dozen.
