Modeling Dough

  1. Mix Bisquick, salt and cream of tartar in a microwavable 4-cup glass measuring cup.
  2. Mix water and food color in a liquid measuring cup.
  3. Stir liquid into the dry mixture, a little at a time, until all the liquid is added.
  4. Microwave, uncovered, on High (100u0b0) for 1 minute.
  5. Scrape the mixture from the side of the cup and stir.
  6. Microwave, uncovered, on High (100u0b0) for 2 to 3 minutes longer, stirring every minute, until the mixture forms sort of a ball.
  7. Let the dough stand, uncovered, about 3 minutes. Spoon out of the measuring cup.
  8. Knead in your hands or on the counter about 1 minute or until smooth.
  9. Cool about 15 minutes. Use to make your favorite shapes and designs.
  10. Place in a tightly covered container or plastic bag; refrigerate.
  11. Makes about 1/2 pound.
