Strawberry Patch Cake

  1. Break up cake into bite size pieces; reserve.
  2. Dissolve jello in boiling water; add sliced strawberries and stir until they are separated.
  3. Chill until thick and syrupy.
  4. (Be sure this doesn't get too thick.)
  5. Remove from refrigerator and fold in Cool Whip (save part for topping).
  6. Grease a 9 x 10-inch tube pan or rind mold (use butter).
  7. Put 2 cups cake pieces in pan, then add jello mixture.
  8. Continue this until pan is full or all mixture is used. Chill several hours or overnight.
  9. Sit pan in hot water for a second and turn out on plate.
