Tasty Dinner Rolls

  1. In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk.
  2. Add melted butter.
  3. Add salt and most of the flour.
  4. Beat with a wooden spoon until mixture is smooth and satiny.
  5. Turn dough out onto lightly floured board.
  6. Knead until smooth, adding a little flour, if necessary.
  7. Divide dough in half.
  8. Shape each half into a long loaf.
  9. Cut each loaf into 6 even pieces.
  10. Shape into oblong rolls. Place rolls in a greased pan, fairly close to each other.
  11. Slash tops.
  12. Flatten slightly with palm of hand.
  13. Sprinkle with little flour.
  14. Let rise for about 30 minutes.
  15. Bake at 400u0b0 on middle rack of oven for about 15 minutes or until light and golden brown. Makes 12 rolls.
