Crock-Pot Beef
- 1 1/2 c. roast beef
- 1/2 lb. black pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/2 pkg. onion soup mix
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. steak sauce
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 onion
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. tomato juice
- Cut beef into pieces and brown.
- Slice onion and dice carrots and celery.
- Slice pepper into thin strips.
- Place these into bottom of crock-pot.
- Sprinkle the beef pieces with pepper, minced garlic and onion soup mix.
- Mix the steak sauce and Worcestershire sauce in a small bowl with about 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup tomato juice.
- Pour this over the meat.
- Cook for 7 to 9 hours on low heat.
- When done remove meat and vegetables and thicken with cornstarch or flour mixture.
- Yield:
- 6 servings.
