Strudel Coffee Cake
- 1 pkg. or cake yeast
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. warm milk
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 beaten eggs
- 4 c. flour
- 1 c. Crisco, melted
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. pecans, chopped
- 3/4 c. coconut
- Dissolve
- yeast and sugar in warm milk.
- Mix all ingredients together
- and
- let
- rise.
- When double in bulk, divide into 2 parts.
- Roll
- out
- but
- not too thin.
- Rub melted oleo over
- the rolled
- out
- dough.
- Mix
- together the brown sugar, pecans and coconut.
- Sprinkle 1/2 of the mixture over each 1/2 of
- rolled out
- dough.
- Roll
- up
- like
- jelly roll.
- Place on greased cookie sheet, let rise again.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 25 to 30
- minutes
- or until brown.
- When cool, drizzle with powdered sugar icing and garnish with cherry halves.
