Pumpkin Streusel Squares
- 1 3/4 c. unsifted flour
- 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. cold margarine or butter (cut into small pieces)
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 2 c. pumpkin
- 1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- In medium bowl, combine flour and sugars.
- Cut in margarine or butter until crumbly (use fingers if too stiff to work).
- Stir in chopped nuts.
- Reserve 1 cup of this crumb mixture.
- Press remainder firmly in bottom and halfway up sides of a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- In large mixing bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
- Pour into prepared dish and top with reserved crumbs.
- Bake 55 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool well before cutting into squares (should be well chilled).
