Mile High Fudgetopped Brownies

  1. In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chocolate.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Blend in sugar and vanilla.
  4. Beat in eggs.
  5. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt; add to chocolate mix.
  6. Stir in nuts if desired.
  7. Pour into greased 13x9 baking pan.
  8. Bake 350 for 25-30 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.
  9. Do not over bake.
  10. Make the topping while the brownies are baking.
  11. In a heavy saucepan combine sugar, milk and butter; bring to a boil over medium heat.
  12. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  13. Remove from heat and stir in semi-sweet and milk chips, marshmallow cream and vanilla.
  14. Beat until smooth.
  15. Spread over warm brownies.
  16. Freeze until firm.
  17. Cut with a knife that has been run under hot water.
  18. Store in refigerator.
