Kentucky Bluegrass Pie
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- pinch of salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 c. bourbon
- 1 c. chopped English walnuts
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked deep dish pie crust
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- Cream the margarine and sugars until fluffy.
- Add flour and mix until it is absorbed.
- Add eggs, one at a time, and mix well after each addition.
- Mix corn syrup, salt, vanilla and bourbon into the batter. Fold in nuts and chocolate chips.
- Immediately pour into pie crust and bake 40 minutes.
- Pie should be set, but not runny.
- Remove from oven and let cool about 30 minutes before serving.
