No Crust Pizza
- 1 (3 oz.) can chopped mushrooms, drained (reserve liquid)
- 1 c. soft bread crumbs
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
- 2 slices Mozzarella cheese
- 1 (5 1/2 oz.) can pizza sauce
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- Drain mushrooms, adding water (if necessary) to liquid to equal 1 1/2 cups of liquid.
- Combine liquid, bread crumbs, egg, salt and pepper.
- Let stand 5 minutes. Add ground chuck, oregano and half the mushrooms; mix lightly.
- In a 9-inch pie plate, form a "meat" crust.
- Cut the Mozzarella cheese into 8 triangles; layer over meat.
- Top with pizza sauce, onion, green pepper and remaining mushrooms.
- Dash with oregano. Bake at 350u0b0 for 55 minutes.
- Top with remaining cheese.
- Bake 5 minutes.
