Sauerkraut And Macaroni
- 1 qt. sauerkraut
- 1 slice bacon, cut into thin pieces
- 1 medium size onion, sliced lengthwise
- 1 chicken or beef bouillon, dissolved in 1 c. hot water
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 (7 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
- 1 1/2 lb. stir-fry pork
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 2 tsp. chopped pimento
- dash of garlic salt
- salt and pepper to taste
- Cook sauerkraut, bacon and onion until kraut is tender.
- Cook macaroni according to package directions.
- Drain well.
- Cook stir-fry pork in tablespoon of oil.
- Add parsley flakes, pimento, garlic salt, salt and pepper.
- Mix cornstarch with cup of chicken broth; cook until thickened.
- Combine macaroni, sauerkraut mixture and thickened broth.
- Heat and eat.
