Round Steak Chop Suey
- 2 lb. cubed round steak
- 1 can consomme
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 can water
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce or to taste
- 4 c. sliced celery
- 1 can sliced mushrooms
- 1 large can bean sprouts or 1 can fancy mixed Chinese vegetables
- flour with water for thickening
- Toss meat
- in
- nonstick
- pan
- or in small amount of fat until ittrowns.
- Add
- soups
- with water and soy sauce.took meat on low
- heat or in a 325u0b0 oven until almost tender (about 30 minutes).
- Add
- celery.
- Cover.
- Cook gently for 30 minutes or until
- done.
- Blend
- flour and water; add to thicken.
- Heat until boiling
- point
- and
- cook until thick.
- Add drained bean sprouts and
- mushrooms.
- Heat through.
- Serve on rice or crisp noodles. Serves 6.
- Freezes well.
