Baked Ziti

  1. Prepare the meatballs by combining the beef, egg, bread crumbs and onion; mix well.
  2. Form into balls about 1 1/2-inches in diameter, rolling them around in your hands to make them round. Heat the olive oil in a skillet and brown the meatballs on all sides.
  3. Pour in the red wine and cook over low heat for about 10 minutes.
  4. Add the tomatoes (including juice) and basil; simmer for about 25 minutes.
