Hamburger Hash
- 1 lb. ground chuck beef
- 2 Tbsp. butter, oil or margarine
- 3 small onions, chopped
- 1 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1/2 c. brown rice
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 1 c. Chinese chow mein noodles
- Cook meat until soft and crumbly.
- Add onions and celery to meat.
- Add pepper and soy sauce, mix well.
- Add soups, water and rice, mix well and stir into casserole and cover.
- In 350u0b0 oven, bake 1/2 hour, stir and continue to bake another 1/2 hour.
- Remove and top with noodles.
- Bake, uncovered, 15 minutes more.
- Serves 8.
- (Is more flavorful if made the day before then reheated before serving.)
