Giant Chocolate Chippers
- 2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. margarine, softened
- 2/3 c. granulated sugar
- 2/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Grease baking sheets or spray with Pam. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
- Beat the margarine and sugars in a large bowl with an electric mixer at high speed until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, until well blended.
- Beat in vanilla.
- Turn mixer speed to low. Add the flour mixture and mix until all the ingredients are well blended.
- Stir in the chips and nuts.
- Drop 1/4 cup at a time, 4 inches apart, onto baking sheets.
- Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Cool on wire racks.
- Store in airtight container.
