Spiced Cabbage-Sausage Casserole

  1. Cut sausage into 3-inch lengths on the diagonal.
  2. In a large, heavy frying pan, heat butter.
  3. Add onions, cabbage, chicken broth and bay leaf.
  4. Bring to a boil and cook 5 minutes.
  5. Add remaining ingredients along with sausage.
  6. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until cabbage is tender and sausage is piping hot.
  7. Makes about 4 servings.
  8. Very good!
