Beef Casserole
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 3/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 minced garlic clove
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 (7 oz.) pkg. shell macaroni
- 1 c. (8 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
- Brown ground beef, onion, garlic, bell pepper and celery in a skillet; drain off excess fat.
- Combine with remaining ingredients, except the shredded cheese and cooked macaroni shells.
- Let it simmer until mixture thickens, then put into a 3-quart casserole dish over the macaroni.
- Bake, covered, at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes.
