Ho Ho Cake
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- chocolate cake mix
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. oleo
- 6 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 egg
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 2 Tbsp. oleo
- 3 c. powdered sugar
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. hot water
- Make chocolate cake mix according to package.
- Bake in a jelly roll pan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cool cake.
- Combine cornstarch and milk in pan.
- Cook until thick; cover and cool. Cream vanilla, sugar, Crisco and 1/2 cup oleo.
- Add to cornstarch mixture.
- Beat until fluffy.
- Spread onto cool cake.
- Melt 1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons oleo and cocoa.
- Mix well.
- Add powdered sugar, egg and hot water.
- Beat well and spread onto cake.
- Do quickly, the icing starts to settle immediately.
- Refrigerate and serve.
