Flank Steak Fix-Up

  1. Rub steak with garlic; sprinkle with 1 teaspoon salt and the pepper.
  2. Cut meat crosswise into 4 to 6 serving pieces.
  3. In large skillet, cook bacon.
  4. Drain bacon; reserve 2 tablespoons drippings in skillet.
  5. Place slice of bacon on each piece of meat; roll up and secure with wooden picks.
  6. Coat rolls with flour.
  7. Brown rolls in the reserved bacon drippings over medium heat.
  8. Stir together remaining ingredients; pour over meat.
  9. Cover tightly; simmer 45 to 60 minutes or until tender.
  10. Place rolls on warm platter; remove wooden picks.
  11. Heat sauce to boiling, stirring constantly.
  12. Pour over rolls.
  13. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
