Turtle Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 325u0b0.
  2. In small heavy saucepan, slowly melt caramels with 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Spread evenly on bottom of pie shell.
  4. In medium saucepan, slowly melt chocolate with margarine.
  5. In large bowl, beat eggs with remaining condensed milk, water, vanilla and salt.
  6. Add chocolate mixture; mix well. Pour into pastry shell.
  7. Top with chopped pecans.
  8. Bake 35 minutes or until center is set.
  9. Cool.
  10. Chill.
  11. Refrigerate leftovers.
