Taco Pie
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 8 oz. crescent rolls
- 1 c. sour cream
- diced tomatoes
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
- 2 Tbsp. corn meal
- 4 oz. Cheddar cheese
- shredded lettuce
- Heat oven to 375u0b0.
- In large skillet, brown meat, onion and pepper; drain.
- Stir in tomato sauce and taco mix.
- Set aside. Separate dough and place triangles in ungreased 10-inch pie pan or 9-inch square pan.
- Press over bottom and up sides to form crust. Sprinkle corn meal over crust.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 5 minutes (crust will be puffy when removed from oven).
- Spoon meat mixture over corn meal.
- Spread sour cream over meat and top with cheese.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Top with lettuce and tomatoes.
