Crockpot Pea Soup

  1. dice onions and saute in the olive oil until soft then add to crock pot.
  2. peel and slice the carrots and add to crock pot
  3. add bone(s), stock, and garlic powder to crock pot.
  4. add water. you may add water to achieve volume or final density you desire (I usually maximize the space in my crock pot, and this results in a less dense soup that doesn't turn into pudding in the fridge).
  5. salt and pepper to taste.
  6. you may opt to make a stock from the pork bone(s) in your crock pot overnight the night before. This makes it easier to remove the bones and cartilage, then just add everything else.

ham bone, containers chicken broth, peas, carrots, onions, olive oil, garlic, water, salt
