Cinnamon Bread

  1. Sift together dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Cream the shortening. Gradually add 1 cup sugar.
  4. Add eggs.
  5. Beat until fluffy and light.
  6. Add dry mixture alternately with sour milk, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla and mix until well blended. Combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar with cinnamon in another bowl.
  7. Spoon half the batter into lightly greased loaf pan.
  8. Sprinkle with half of the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Add remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture. Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to
