Cinnamon Bread
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sour milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
- Sift together dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- Set aside.
- Cream the shortening. Gradually add 1 cup sugar.
- Add eggs.
- Beat until fluffy and light.
- Add dry mixture alternately with sour milk, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla and mix until well blended. Combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar with cinnamon in another bowl.
- Spoon half the batter into lightly greased loaf pan.
- Sprinkle with half of the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Add remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture. Bake at 350u0b0 for 40 to
