Fancy Chicken Puff Pie

  1. In medium saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter and saute shallots lightly.
  2. Stir in flour until creamy.
  3. Add broth and sherry slowly; heat until boiling and gravy is smooth.
  4. Season to taste with nutmeg, salt and pepper.
  5. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes.
  6. Stir in ham, chicken, asparagus and cream. Pour chicken mixture into ungreased 9-inch pie plate.
