Baked Macaroni And Cheese Casserole

  1. Have macaroni cooking while preparing cheese sauce.
  2. Cook and stir margarine, onion, salt and pepper in a 3-quart pot until onion is slightly tender.
  3. Blend in flour, cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
  4. Stir in milk; heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
  5. Boil and stir 1 minute; remove from heat.
  6. Stir in cheese until melted.
  7. Add cooked macaroni. Stir well.
  8. Place in 2-quart casserole.
  9. Cook, uncovered, in 375u0b0 oven for 30 minutes.
  10. Should be slightly brown.
  11. It's fun to slice up about 5 hot dogs and add to casserole before baking.
