Home Style Seasoned Mac & Cheese

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions and set aside.
  2. Over medium heat, in a medium size saucepan melt margarine and add onions.
  3. Cook onions until softened.
  4. Add flour and cook until lightly browned.
  5. Turn heat to low and add milk a little at a time, stir until desired thickness is reached. ( You might need a little more milk, it all depends on how thick you want it. ).
  6. Remove sauce from heat and add 4 1/2 ounces of cheese, a little at a time or it might turn out " STRINGY ".
  7. Add seasonings to sauce and mix well.
  8. Add cooked pasta to seasoned sauce and stir until pasta is well coated.
  9. Pour pasta/sauce into an 11 x 7 inch pan that has been prepared with cooking spray.
  10. Sprinkle with remaining cheese, and sprinkle additional paprika if desired.
  11. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until top is golden brown.
